Trip to Yuanyang Terrace Fields and Southeast Yunnan
DAY 1
Fly to Kunming
Catch a flight to Kunming, get picked up and taken to the hotel in Kunming. Enjoy wandering around the old city centre of Kunming, visit the old stores and try local street food.
DAY 2
Stone Forest and Yuanyang terrace fields
Drive for 1.5 hours to visit the Stone Forest, and spend about 2-3 hours exploring there. Then, drive for 4-5 hours to Yuanyang terrace fields, making stops along the way. Stay overnight in Yuanyang for 2 nights.
DAY 3
Duoyishu View Point, the Terrace Fields and Hani villages
Start your day by watching the sunrise over the terraces at Duoyishu View Point, then explore the bustling local market. In the afternoon, hike through the terrace fields and visit traditional Hani villages.
The famous sunrise/sunset over the fields, but it's not so spectacular every day.
Drive 3 hours to Jianshui, visit the Confucius temple and the pretty Zhu Family Garden. Enjoy Jianshui old town. Overnight stay in Jianshui for 2 nights.
DAY 5
Tuanshan Village and the Double Dragon Bridge
Visit the famous Tofu-making family and the ancient Ximen Well. Take the small train on the one-meter gauge rail, which was built in the early 1900s by the French. Visit Tuanshan Village and the pottery village, where you can make your own pottery pieces as well, if you like. Catch sunset over the Double Dragon Bridge, built in the 1700s.

DAY 6
Fuxian Lake
Drive for 2 hours to Fuxian Lake. Enjoy walking along the sunny, scenic lake; you can also paddle or sail on it. Kids can play in the sand and water as well. The temperature remains very pleasant even during winter. Overnight stay at the Hilton Hotel, Fuxianhu Lake.
If time allows, the artistic Dynamic Yunnan show is highly recommended. The director of the show is Ms. Yangliping, who went to the fields and collects lyrics/art from ethnique people living in different parts of Yunnan, and made this beautiful piece of art on stage.

DAY 4
Jianshui

The market happens almost every other day, a gathering all the mountain tribes in their traditional clothing.

Leave for Kunming airport, 3 hours before flight departure.
An action-packed seven-day trip through the spectacular Yuanyuang Terrace Fields and SE Yunnan, starting in Kunming and ending in Fujian Lake and a stay at the fabulous Hilton Hotel before returning to Kunming.
